El Chaltén

We just got back to town after 6 days of trekking around cerro torre and cerro Fitz Roy, near the tiny town of el Chaltén in Santa Cruz, Argentina. Internet is really weak here so I can't post any pictures but I took over 200 so pretty soon I'll post some of the highlights! There is not a bus to Bariloche for 3 more days so we restocked on food and will head back into the mountains for two more days tomorrow.
I'll write more and put up some pics when we get to bariloche in a few days. Patagonia is completely breathtaking. We are having a blast and happy to be in this wild place. I promise some great pics really soon!

Patagonia!

After a few days in crazy buenos aires, we jumped on another flight bound south... Wayyy south. We are now in El Calafate, a popular traveler hub in Patagonia. Tomorrow we jump on a bus for El Chalten - our gateway to incredible hiking and camping around Mt. Fitz Roy.
Very excited about this leg of the journey. After Patagonia, we make our way back north through the beautiful lake region to meet my close friend (brother) Emanuel in cordoba.
Today we ventured out to a nearby glacier called Perito Moreno. It was absolutely stunning!! I'll try to post a couple pictures

wanderlust

In two days I'll get on a plane and fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina - where I will meet up with Netta... Then we will be exploring, adventuring, and vagabonding for 2.5 months from Patagonia, to Bolivia and eventually Peru!

I set up this blog so we can share pictures and update our friends and family! We'll do our best to keep you posted, but I'll make no promises about the frequency of updates!

At this point I am excited to skip the rest of winter in Minnesota... Excited for the adventures ahead of us, and SO EXCITED to see Netta - who left for a rock climbing trip to the southwest about two and a half weeks ago.

Here is a funny picture of us laughing. Enjoy!
